Sharing: 2017 Lenten Reflection Indonesian Catholic Community in Hong Kong

The Indonesian Chaplain Fr. Heribertus, SVD asked me to lead Lenten reflection for the Indonesian Catholic Community on Feb 26, 2017 at St. Paul Convent School Hall Hong Kong. There were more than 60 women attended it.
The music team led a short praise and worship before the reflection.  I gave a short introduction about the tradition of washing of the feet.  We watched the video of Pope Francis washed the feet in a prison in Rome on Holy Thursday 2015 while listened to the reading from John 13: 1-15.
Several volunteers helped to prepare the washing of feet ceremony.  There were four stations of washing of feet.  I washed the feet and prayed for the first person in each station and then she washed the feet and prayed for the second person, etc.
It was the first experience and very moving ceremony for many of them.  After tea break, I asked them to share their experiences in small group of four and then I
invited several of them to share to big group.

I led a reflection for the Indonesian Catholic Mothers Prayer Group on March 2, 2017 at the Catholic Centre, Hong Kong and arranged a washing of feet and praying ceremony.  There were seven mothers attended it besides Sr. Rita, RGS.   It was a very moving ceremony.    I asked everyone to share their reflection before the closing prayer.
